Breast Augmentation - case 7Case ID: 0487
This is a 35 year-old woman with two previous pregnancies carried to term. She was wearing a 38-A cup bra pre-operatively. At 5' 7" and 136 lbs., she had a calculated body mass index of 21. On exam, her underwire chest wall measurement was 12.7 cm and the breast base diameter measurement was 12.7 cm. Because of the relative breast skin laxity and the wide base measurement, she could tolerate a larger implant. She underwent a submammary (on top of the muscle) breast augmentation procedure with 450 cc high profile, smooth, round gel implants placed through an inframammary incisional approach. She is seen here at 11 months post-op and is currently wearing a 36-D cup bra.
